Positive Think Tanks Initiative Supports Petty Traders, Kidney Disease Patient in Ibadan

As a way of assisting the needy, a non-government organisation, NGO, Positive Think Tanks Initiative has given the sum of 10,000 naira each to 10 petty traders in Ibadan to support their businesses.
The NGO also donated 100,000 naira to a patient that has kidney disease who is currently undergoing dialysis and whom funds is being raised for to enable him get a Kidney Transplant.
This was made known by the President, Mr Adeyemi Okunade, MCIArb, in a statement made available to insideoyo.com on Monday.
It reads in part “We had 10,000 Naira donations each to women doing petty trading and 100,000 thousand Naira to a beneficiary with kidney problem whom we had been doing dialysis for.”

Similarly, the association held an End of the Year party where the Guest Speaker at the event, Mr. Bayo Ojediran  admonished members and youths in particular to do more by offering themselves for elective posts, create awareness against social ills in the society, reawaken the minds of the next generation towards the protection of the environment and others.
Okunade, while speaking at the End of the Year activity which was held at Bodija, Ibadan reminded members of the objectives of the association and the need to work in line with the objectives.
He stressed the need to give out financially and through mentorship adding that there is need to encourage girls to become more independent in securing the family circle which is the smallest unit of a society.
His words: ” I want to urge us to put in our best at every time that we are opportuned to so do.
“As much as possible- we as youths should continually let our impact be felt in our immediate community and not forget the ideals that we stand for.
“Permit me to use this opportunity to express my heart felt appreciation to everyone who has expressed interest and participated in the activities of the initiative especially in this pandemic season where a lot of stay at home measures have been put into place.
“The need to give out financially and by mentor ship has become imperative while we need to engage and encourage girls to become more independent in securing the family circle which is the smallest unit of a society.
“We can encourage girls by organizing sports competitions for girls particularly to make them feel wanted and encouraged.
He listed members of executive of the association as Ogundele John, General Secretary; Olaposi Onabajo, Auditor; Adebayo Olusegun Adedamola, Treasurer and Prince Olumide Olufemi Soyemi, Assistant General Secretary.
Others are Idris Alarape, Vice President; Ogundele John, General Secretary; Olaposi Onabajo, Auditor; Adebayo Olusegun Adedamola, Treasurer; Femi Adelanke, Chief Whip; Prince Olumide Olufemi Soyemi, Assistant General Secretary; Abiodun Ogunmona.
The initiative’s office is located at Rich & Ross Complex, No. 5, Magazine Road, Railway Goods Shed, Jericho, Ibadan, Oyo State.
