In the early hours of today Saturday October 10,2020 some indigenes and Students took to the street to make a peaceful protest seeking an immediate end to toFSARS.The protester converged at NNPC fueling station Along LAUTECH Road exactly 8:00am and they started the movement exactly 9:00am to make a peaceful protest demand for the end to brutality, harassment, killing ,extortion caused by the Special Antirobbery Squad unit of the Nigeria Police force. According to an eyewitness he said ” After the populace has been addressed by the Ogbomoso parapo leader and the student and the indigenes has turned back to start moving to their respective Destinations.Suddenly the police started shooting at the ProtestersThe Protesters were seen holding placards with different inscription on it demanding the scraping of the said unit. Several casualties were recorded.The young man popularly known as ENERGY who is an indegene was shot dead by the police while two other students of the institution(LAUTECH) sustained severe gun wound (now receiving treatment ).
